UV filter (Ultraviolet) is used for shooting the image of a haze. Dust, hot weather, steam create the little parts in the air that reduce visibility, brightness of colors, cause blue tone and haze, covers details. UV filter blocks the UV rays and all that they cause. Images get more discrete and clear. It is used for the black-and-white images. In the mountains UV filter is used for protection from the UV rays.
Mysterious haze filter.
ND filter reduces the amount of light that reaches the camera, which gives an opportunity to set longer exposure that is impossible in other conditions. In such a way you can emphasize the movement or make dynamic scene look calm and mysterious. The ND filter separates the subject from the background.
The effect of the ND filter can not be done digitally. That makes it even more valuable.
The special feature of the ND filter is that it blocks the strictly set amount of light and it doesn’t influence on the rate of definition.
ND filter looks black. But don’t worry the settings of your camera will compensate the small amount of light.
